The other day, a big box with “KOOKS” on the side of it showed up at the office. To our joy, it was our 1-7/8-inch stainless headers for Boss Hog. No ordinary headers, these works of TIG’d-stainless art have AEM’s specially-designed heat-dissipating oxygen sensor bungs welded into each primary. We headed over to Rapp Racing to bolt everything together and get the engine ready for the run stand. As you can see, we’ll be using two AEM 4-channel wideband controllers (one per cylinder bank) to monitor the exact air/fuel ratio of each cylinder.
Keep an eye out in the magazine for a complete tech review of these awesome stainless headers, and the install and testing of AEM’s 4-channel wideband UEGO controller kits, coupled with their AQ-1 datalogger. Also keep an eye on the site for updates when we fire Boss Hog for the first time.
