Final Mid-Season Rule changes for Renegade, Coyote Stock, and Factory Stock

These are the Final Mid-Season Rule changes for Renegade, Coyote Stock, and Factory Stock. Drag Radial and Super Street Outlaw are still under review.

REN- -4.6L/5.4L Modular 4V 291ci and larger add 50lbs -4.6L/5.4L Modular 4V 290ci and less deduct 50lbs -4.6L/5.4L Modular 3V engines allowed 100-lbs weight break. -4.6L/5.4L Modular 2V engines allowed 200-lbs weight break.

CS- -1.3b) EXHAUST TUBING/SIZE: Maximum exhaust pipe diameter – 3” from Header rearward. -1.20b) MASS AIR SIZE & TYPE PERMITTED: Aftermarket mass air housing permitted on all combinations (Stock OEM, unmodified, sample tube and elements as produced from Ford required). Mass air sensor is required to be functioning. Mass Air meter must be no closer than 9 inches to the throttle body and no further than 18 inches away from throttle body. 3..4 SUSPENSION, REAR: Stock type suspension, including stock 3-link &4-link, and traction bars permitted. Rear coil-over shocks prohibited. STOCK TYPE SUSPENSION: Stock type suspension may utilize aftermarket, direct replacement type suspension components including aftermarket replacement shocks, springs (in factory location), and/or control arms. All stock type 4-link suspensions must maintain stock lateral angles and attachment points, but may be moved up or down on rear axle.  ’05-up mustangs permitted to use Racecraft p/n 320540 or 320540-K upper control arm mount. Aftermarket torque arms permitted.

1.20b) MASS AIR SIZE & TYPE PERMITTED: Commercially available, complete, mass produced mass air sensors required on all combinations (sample tube and elements required). Mass air sensor is not required to function. Must be standard draw through design. Maximum size of mass air sensor – 3.150″ (80mm) for all except 5.0LC. 5.0L C may use any generally available CAI, must be no closer than 9 inches to the throttle body and no further than 18 inches away from throttle body.
