Here is just a sample of how bad it is. The block is split from no. 1-4 main-cam-lifter valley area I am guessing that the engine made 350+ passes. John, I think it started breaking at Cordova FFW on my last pass the et & mph fell off more than I thought the conditions (weather) said it would. I changed the intake gasket last weekend and decided it would be best to test the car before BG. I met up with Larry at Dragway 42 we got them to give us a Pro tree. On my 1st pass the car didn't feel right I thought the timing wasn't right I advanced it 2 deg went up for a second pass when I hit 2nd gear it started vibrating so I short shifted 3rd the vibration got worse so I shut it down. And the block is now almost a 2 piece design no 5 main web is the only thing holding it togather. I hope to have the engine running with the 88 5.0 short block by Mon-Tue. Later.
