I have a Summit Racing plastic battery relocator in my 98 Cobra coupe. Is this legal for competition in the NMRA? the NHRA? So far I have raced without a problem at local weekend bracket racing events. I have a disconnect switch that kills all power located on the rear bumber. (Moroso switch.) I still have my rear seats in the car. Do I need to do anything else to be legal for competition in the Bracket #3 races? I was hoping to compete this weekend at Maple Grove. I raced there yesterday and I went through tech OK.

Usually in the bracket classes the track tech people do the tech. And if you passed this weekend, you shouldn't have a problem next weekend.

The Summitt battery relocation package sounds like it meets all specs, does it say NHRA approved anywhere? If it does and it is installed correctly, it should pass tech anyplace.
See you at The Grove!

Just to make sure, I just installed an aluminum fire wall behind my rear seats this morning. I figured it couldn't hurt, right?
On an unrelated note, I went down to Maple Grove on Sunday. I did alright. I just wanted to get used to their tree. Funny thing - they only gave us 1 time trial. (That sucked.) I got a .528 light and a 13.40 ET. My first round elimination run was better with a 13.22 but I redlighted. (.491 OUCH!) I wish I would have gotten more practice on their tree but oh well. See you all at the Grove!
