With a p1sc on a 5.0 what psi do most of you guys see? We have the stock pulleys that csme with the kit but only see 8 psi. We do however have a B-4 cam. I guess this could be some of the loss. This kit was rated at 14 psi. We have a p1sc, 306, brodix st 5.0 (right out of the box), B-4 cam, Holley systemax intake. This kit is not the one that comes across in front of the distributor. It goes underneath the car, without an intercooler. Any ideas on this? We are wondering about the boost pressure. I know boost loss could be in the flow, but just checking with some of you guys that have had these alot longer than us.
Thanks

Pro,
With the FACTORY supplied pullies on my r/s car we saw a max of about 15 psi.
I wonder if that B4 cam is just blowing the air out the exhaust valve?
Hope this helps!

What was that kit rated at? Was it a p1sc? What size pulleys do you have? Our heads only have the 1.94 in valves. That could be hurting the intake side. But the heads haven't been touched yet. Still making around 500 horsepower with this combo. What HP would be considered the norm for a RS car?
Thanks

No idea what the kit rating was?? The blower pulley was a 4.25... That is what was supplied with the kit. I dont remember the crank pulley size, its been a while.
We ran an custom FTI valvejob in otherwise untouched TW heads (2.02). I would think your smaller intake valves would make MORE boost (more restriction to flow).
Car made 538 at the tire.

You might want to check the direction that the impeller is spinning. I have heard that sometimes the mod motor impeller has been installed by mistake.

You might see a difference in boost with a P1SC and a P1SC-2. I am not sure what model Chris was using when he made 15lbs of boost. I only made around 11lbs of boost with my Procharger P1SC (not -2) and a 4.25 pulley.

A -1 has a straight impeller, a -2 has a curved one like the S trim or Novi

Hey Robin, how do I tell if the mod impeller was installed.
This is with a 4.00" pulley and an 8" crank pulley. Is this normal?
We are checking valve springs/all hoses/blow off valve and etc....
Any help is appreciated. This was supposed to be rated at 14 psi on stock motor. AT least that is what ATI says-----
Thanks- DARYL.
