I am wanting to know what size tires do you guys recommend or run in your class, How much air pressure do you run and also what kind of RPM launch and shift would you recommend..reasoning behind this is... My home track has a class that does not allow MT ET streets in the street tire class.. they claim it as a slick..anyways..my buddy has the drag radials.. and I want to run them and "win" the street tire class.. My car has aftermarket control arms, ajustable shocks and many other mods in the rear.. I cut 1.55-1.60 60"fts.. on slicks.. my car makes 330hp at the rear wheels at 6100rpms.. I had been leaving at 5800 and shiftin at 6500rpm... I have 4.30gears in the rear.. Any help would be very appreciative..if you guys dont wanna post on here..just email me please.. thanx

Stephen,
Considering the gear that you are running, I would recommend using 275/60R15 BFG drag radials. Anything shorter will probably not hook well with that gear. Air pressure is something you'll have to experiment with. I run around 9-9.5 PSI in my 275/50R15 BFG's. I have 3.73's. I can (most of the time) safely launch at around 4000 RPM without too much spin. You'll also have to experiment with launch RPM as well because all cars are different. Burnouts are another tricky task. Some people say to do a long burnout, while others say to do a short burnout. I would suggest to smoke 'em pretty good but don't get carried away. Shift RPM will depend on your motor. You should be able to shift around the same RPM you shift at now. Hope this helps and let me know how you do.
Later,
Jeremy
