I am running manley alluminum rods. Do you think they will hold to 300hp of spray? I would hate to change them, but if I have to I will. I also have a set of eagle H beam rods that I can Throw in. Well what do you guy's think?
Thanks Kevin

We run Biller Miller aluinum rods....and they see 600hp spray all the time. Usually they see 300 but when the money is right they get the big shot. Never a problem, we run them in both of our motors...ford and chevy.
If the manley's are in good shape i dont see why they wouldnt hold up to 300hp.

How can we comment with the information you have given? Think about it, you did not list the rod weight, bolt size, engine RPM, rod material, etc., for your aluminum pieces. There are many people running well over 1000+ HP with aluminum rods, so yes, they can work in high HP applications. In fact, i actually like them better than steel in heavy power adder situations because they are easier on your crank journals. The key to making reliable power with an aluminum rod is by having a properly designed combination. If you have a set of the bottom of the line $350 aluminum rods with 3/8" bolts your asking for trouble spraying them. However, if they have 7/16" bolts and are a heavy rods designed for high HP then you are fine.
I hope this helps.....

Ohhhhhh, ok, Now I see the JK signature....I know who you are SHAWN!!!!! BTW, how long do you have to have flames on your car before you are crowned king?
I would try it,I have ran 250hp on stock chevy rods before. the aluminum will absorb more load and let the rest of the parts live. I like the eagle rods also.
