id like to see the 100lb wight penalty for the victor gliddens heads. there is not enough deference if any at all, to justify a 100lb penalty. does anybody else agree?

There's been a lot of talk about this in the last year or so! NMRA was "supposed" to remove or lower the weight penalty for this season. Then the head tech guy left or got fired, I can't remember, and the penalty remained. The head is NOT worth 100lbs at all! Kurt Neighbor proved that when he took the 100lbs out of his car and put his 7721's on and went out to set the record... We'll see what happens next season, I'll either be switching to the 7721's or hopefully they drop the pernalty...

Edelbrock Victors
Yea...Kind of crazy......."Your welcome to come race in "Edelbrocks" class, but if you choose to run "Edelbrocks" heads - you had better add 100#s!!!" (I think Edelbrock should *****) "Wait a minute mister...what are you doing with those secret heads on your car?" I can see it if they had a "known superior" canted-valve design. I believe they have different valve sizing, angles and different chambers than the 7721's but come-on they are still considered an inline-valve head right? I read all the hype about the "Pro-stock" thinking that went into them and it all sounded good to me too but lets face it - it is because "someone" has attached their name to them (Love ya Billy, but what are they REALLY worth over a standard 7721?) I say "LET EM RUN" When winning patterns arise, deal with it then. I think it says allot that Kurt pulled them from his car (I thought he was running Billy's motor? Wouldn't you expect it to have "Billys" heads?)

I actually have a few sets of 7721's so I'm just sticking up for ya guys - for what? Hell I don't know.........Disbelief I guess??
