Ok guys - I am currently in discussion with SafeCraft in organizing a group purchase which should cover most of their product line. We have yet to work out the fine details however it does fore surely sound to be a go. After this weekend I hope everyone will open their eyes and set-up their cars to race "safe". :( It is so unfortunate that something like this always has to happen to trigger us to become pro-active but increased safety in our racecars is long over due.

Ok, I just got off the phone with Safecraft with pricing based upon "20" ( people / units purchased ) participating in the group purchase and is good for a month. If I get a huge response ( over 20 ) there is a good chance on obtaining better pricing. The pricing I was quoted ended up being a-little less of a savings than originally expected but still less than anywhere else ( Summit Racing / Jegs etc.)

The quote I got is for a 5 pound system which will be drop shipped directly from Safecraft to a "worse-case" continental designation west to east coast - $35. which includes a $20. Haz. Material Fee. (The bottles come completely full of Halon)

Good News: (maybe?)If I have the "entire group purchase order" shipped directly to "my" door shipping will be completely free / waved. I have been working & arranging a few different things with Steve Baker which came out successful which I feel will work out better for us all.

First – For every “30” units / products sold I have negotiated a deal with Steve to “donate” a free “10 lb” Halon system or comparable product from Safecraft’s product line to “our group”. From the very beginning it was my intention to set-up our fallen DR racer Peter Champani with this benefit(s) from Safecraft to help him get back on track as soon as possible. I do not know Peter personally, however, I think some of you do - so I am asking any / one of you to just check with him ( Peter ) to make sure that he is ok with this. If anyone has a problem with this – please let it be known now.

Secondly – Steve has agreed to let us all log-on individually onto the Safecraft web-site ( www.safecraft.com )and purchase what ever we wanted for this GP from his product line at the discounted prices I posted on the forums. This allows everyone the payment options that I myself could not offer.
