I have only attended about 6 NMRA events in the past 2 years, and I also race brackets at FFW. I was wondering why they race two different bracket races. They run brackets on Saturday and Sunday, and pay out for both days. I was in Bradenton, and noticed for a bracket racer it was kind of boring, unless the heads up classes were qualifying or doing time trials. I was there from Thursday thru Sunday. For the bracket classes, it was occasianal time trials for three days, and finally eliminations on Sunday. I love watching the heads up classes, but I love to race myself even more. Its just an idea, but I think it would be great if the NMRA would consider running eliminations on both days for the bracket classes, even if one of them was a gamblers bracket race. Just an idea.

When I ran @ Atco last year I even with the rain, I still got 5 solid runs in before eliminations...and I was only there 2 days...I thought that was alot for Brackets...considering I'm a heads up fan. But I see your point for the people who like to run Brackets...we all have our own likes :P I just think with all the Bracket cars that show up, 2 days of eliminations would drive some people crazy

I think there is a huge difference in how the bracket racers are treated between FFW and NMRA. I only managed one NMRA event last year because they cut the payout by 75%. A semi finish should have paid $100 but I got $25. I understand the minimum car count thing but we were only 2 cars shy of 64 so its ridiculous to cut the pay by 75%. On the flip side I went to FFW and the bracket turn out is much much larger. The reason the minimum car count is never an issue at FFW is because of the 2 days of eliminations (for the same price as one at NMRA). If NMRA wants to attract more bracket racers (and thus more revenue) they need to either guarantee the payout or make it a 2 day event.
