I'm planning yet another transplant and don't know much about the AOD. Will an AOD and converter from a 91GT work if I transplant it into another mustang without a computer? (302 with carb no emissions no computers the way GOD intended!) Will it behave? I wish I had a T5:(

Thanks

An AOD will work fine between 81-93 models, all you really have to do is make a detent cable, or find one from an origianly carbuerated or CFI injected bird, LTD, or lincoln or early mustang(some of those had that). But an AODE or 4R70W trans will have to have a computer (94-up).

what about in a 92 f-150? i have a 93 aod w less 50k and a 5spd that shifts like a truck, ie it sucks. it is on its way out after 120k and i was thinking shift kit and converter, with a street rod style shifter with the stock mustang TV cable modifyed to fit truck T-body. think it'll work?

Get truck TV cable not Mustang. Mustang TV cable are bit too short.
Also get correct truck T.V lever at the trans.[Go with engine and model year of your truck]

Other than that...Have fun driving...:D :)
