Just a fan here being nosey, but I was wondering if any of the HS guys really spin their motors to 10,000 rpm? I was reading in Race Pages the little side blurb they had on Bangin Bob about the Jesel rockers and he said he only spins his to 86-8800.

I know it is a lot of maintenance involved with these engines, but 10,000rpm's seems like a lot, that is well over half of what Formula spins their's too.

Like I said just being nosey because I love the class.

Can't speak for everyone but I don't. I know on both of my engines there was nothing there that high. We will see with the new one but I kind of doubt it. Besides the fact I'm out of gears and can't spin that high:p

Just for clarification here's a RacePak dump from my 9.34 & 9.37 passes. This of course is a big 400 stroker backed by a Three Speed Trans. The purple line is the 9.34 which went to 10k 1st & 2nd and only around 9k or so through the traps.

All I can say is wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! after viewing that sheet. Kenny your car sounded great at BG,but I did not think the Big windsors really revved that high, but that is clear now they do,and they can.

I was always thinking that it was the smaller 360 engines that were the revvers, well you know the 9500 plus revvers, but once again I learn something new.

Thanks Kenny and Tom.

I was shooting the breeze with Rod Houck at the FFW Ennis event and he was telling me non-chantly(LOL) yeah we go to about 10,500rpm,hell I almost got a nose bleed just from hearing it how high he revved it,great guy also, did he really buy Chuck Simons old setup?

Yes he did buy Chuck's old setup... I know Chuck said he was always above 9500 on that motor. I've never ran mine past 10,250 personally. Except when I blew the trans at Atco

I don't care what the stock market is doing, Manley stock has go to be soaring with the sales from those great NexTek valve springs, I know I do my part to help the economy As do alot of other Hot Street/ Street Bandit guys. Rod
