newb cam question

i am a newbie to the racing scene and iwas reading through the rules in the nmra real street class, and i was confused about the cam selection it says" 1.18a) CAMSHAFT: Stock lobe 5.0 HO or 4.6L camshaft required. Specified duration, lift, and lobe separation required.
" for a 5.0 now does that mean i can use any aftermarket cam or do i have to use the stock cam that came with the motor?

Depending what class. But I think the class you are talking about you have to run the stock cam.
