I am about to select a fire suppression system for my new ride.
My chassis builder brought this question to my attention. If you were mid track on fire would the foam type system cause a problem with foam getting under your tires? Could this happen with the foam type system?

That's definitely something to consider, I'm curious to find out.

If you have a fire at 1000 ft. the fire consumes the foam as the fire is being extinguished. If foam does hit the track, traction can be an issue. All Nitro Funnycars in NHRA have foam systems (99% have Firefox foam systems)...How many Nitro funnys have you seen hit the wall after having a big fire...Has happened but not too many...I'd rather scrub the wall than spend 6 months in a burn center. Foam is one of the best agents if not the best extinguishing agent on the market. If I can answer any more questions please give me a call. I've installed several systems. If I don't answer please leave message. I will return your call.
