I bought a kit to adapt the Moroso pump up to the stock bracket where the old smog pump was. It came with no instructions, so I easily figured out how the front adapter plate allows the pump to bolt onto the bracket that holds the alternator, but I don't quite see how the bracket on the back adapts the pump to bolt onto the engine. I know that the old smog pump had a bracket that connected it to the engine at the timing chain cover, but this new set up doesn't line up with the adapter bracket that came in the kit. Does anybody else use this kit?
