The SFI Spec you are looking for is 3.2A/5 and can be a one piece suit or seperate jacket and pants. You will also need a head sock, gloves and boots or shoes

Try RJS they have SFI 1-3-5-20 there suits are very comfortable and you can buy all your safety equip from them.

You will also need an SFI approved neck collar. And though it sounds simplistic, make sure your helmet is the right spec as well.
George, I was unaware of the change to require an SFI head sock and SFI shoes. I had raced under the "Sportsman" ET rules (7.50-9.99) but have been out since late '03. Thanks for the update, especially since I can't find my '05 rulebook.

BK, I'm willing to be wrong about the head sock. May not be required at 9.99.

According to NHRA rulebook, head socks are required from Alcohol Funny Car and up.
Neck collars are required from Supper Comp on up.
Keep in mind that a neck collar is only $ 40.00 and they work, so no matter what you wreck have one on
Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks for the info. I still can't find my rulebook.
Even if not required I will be trying out a head sock this season. It wasn't very expensive and it's just that much more protection. Will also be trying out a full face helmet.
Thanks again,
BK

While they are certainly worth it, the shoes are not required. You are required to have the SFI shoes at the same level where you are required to have a 3.2A/15 suit. If you are allowed to use the 3.2A/5 suit then no shoes are required.
The 3.2A/15 suit and shoes are required when:
1. Faster than 7.50 1/4 mile with turbo, supercharger or nitrous or no floor covering auto trans.
2. 9.99-7.50 with turbo, supercharger or nitrous and car Does Not have steel or OEM firewall or no floor covering auto trans.
3. Running a class that names the 3.2A/15. IE... Top Alcohol Dragster.
