wondering if anyone is running nitrous on a setup like this?
all billet, internal balanced

4.125 crank clevland mains
6.400 rod
and a forged je piston 4.145 bore compression hieght is only 1.9
dart 9.5 deck
yates heads

just wondering i want to juice this combo but je says not a good idea, said they cant make a n20 piston for this combo wondering how much the thermal coatings help? thanks for any info

Yes your piston is probably a little too short there. I would look at morelike a 6.250 rod (1.188 CH) or maybe even a 6.200 rod (1.238 CH) and then you can get your piston top back.

u think i could possibly spray 200 on it ? or think none at all?

200 shot isn't going to hurt right away but it wouldn't hurt to shorten rod up and put more piston if you plan on spraying it with more than that

6.400"; That is one hell of a rod. No compression height on the piston. The long rod will cause the piston to dwell a TDC a lot longer than what is desired in a nitrous engine as well. I would go no longer than 6.200." But a small tune-up shouldn't hurt it.
