Hey Guys,

I'm getting fired up to do The Clash of The Titans race in San Antonio on August 31! Keith Campbell from the Hot Rod Store is doing a great job of getting some of the biggest names in our sport out to this deal. Hell, I even heard that Galimi is going! LOL

Urist, Derrick, Murillo, Millen, Havemann, Dudley, and a bunch of heavies will be duking it out with Glidden's black GT for $5000. I've never been to one of these deep South 10.5W races, but I know it gets wild. Kind of sounds like a "nostalgia" Pro 5.0 class, doesn't it?

I hope to catch up with a bunch of NMRA fans in Texas.

See you there,
Jamie

That was a great show.....by far the best show yet at River City.....but racing till nearly six in the morning is nuts. I hope they either drop some of the classes or make it a two day event before they run the finals in November.
Terrific racing but bad infrastructure....I don't think they anticipated the car count they got.
Personally, I was disappointed they didn't let my friend Dan Bell make an exhibition run with his N/SS '63 1/2 Galaxie on Saturday. But he was characteristically good-natured about it and took it in stride.

What a wild, wild show!
Congrats to Keith Campbell and the entire Hot Rod Store crew as well as the River City Raceway staff.

That was my first Outlaw 10.5 race, and it was awesome. The Texas crowd made it a truly special event. I'm all for having an NMRA race in Texas - you guys were the best.

As for the racing, it was out of sight. Many NMRA regulars were there, and they represented well. Murillo, Havemann, Carlo and George, Mike Smith, Jason Cohen, John Urist (who went a legal 7.85 - damn!), and Billy Glidden all put on a show. It was a Mustang-heavy race for sure.

The Clash of the Titans was a great race. I recommend it for 2003 if you can make it. I hope it's a two day show by then. I had to give up at 4:30am - sorry I just couldn't take any more! LOL

See you all at Bowling Green,
Jamie
