I have reviewed the rules and the only thing that I think won't work is this...

"If weather has caused the loss of one or more rounds of qualifying sessions, any entrants not qualified will have an index of 15.89 automatically entered. They will compete with the 15.89 index through eliminations."

I have sent an email to tech to revise this and let either the previous race index be applied or allow the racer to come up with their own (non changeable) index at the beginning of the event.
Does that sound ok to everyone?

I agree to the post your own non-changeable index. They cant actualy expect every single racer to be able to make it to every single qualifying round, especialy with more of the races having 1st round qualifying on Friday. I know alot of us only have so many days they can take off work to go racing, and some of us have to travel 500 miles or more to make it to most of the events, which would mean you'd have to leave thursday to make it by friday for 1st round of qualifying. Thats just not feasable for most of us. I hope the NMRA will reconsider this rule and allow the racers to post their own index or go by previous qualifying times to make it fair to everyone

I second that idea MM7176.

NMRA has added to the rules that you can pick in 1 second increments your index from 9.0-15.0 just thought you shoud check out the final rules. Later. Dave

The thead that I started was before final rules. I am glad that they went in that direction, the only issue with that is the is you are a 12.49 car, you are forced to find a way to run 1/2 sec quicker or you have to drive a 1/2 sec slower and we all know that's not that easy
