How much rear wheel hp will it take for a 3,450lb car to go 170+ on a radial?

not to hijack the thread but i've never had a turbo before. i had a novi 2000 last year making 790rwhp with 20psi. do you guys think i can pick up enough with the 88mm turbo (around 300rwhp) to be more competitive this season?

yes, because you have to keep the BFG factor in mind. 1071 rwhp with 85 and 1307 rwhp with 88 is pretty darn impressive in my book. was that with a true 88, a gt47 88, a gt55 88, or a 98/88? anyway you look at it thats killer, hecks its more than i made with a 91. guess i need to figure out how to step up my engine program?

Chris, JCHAMP is Peter Champani's brother so my guess is it's peter's car.

with that power we should see 7.50's on a radial...... hahahaha I dont even think we made that much with the 94 on the dyno

Guys,
are RWHP numbers on a turbo car applicable really? I always thought that more weight meant more boost on the track. Is that true? Forgive my ignorance. I am poor so I have to buy used BBC's if I want to try to go fast...

usely the more boost u have the more weight they add sometimes and hell we run a monte carlo with a fulton 706 bbc in big dog at piedmontdragway in greensboro n.c but i just work on it and keep it going down the track i have a mustang with a sbf. u have to do with what u can aford.

wow thats messed up I have never seen a race where they added weight if you made more boost..... just becuase you make 30 pounds doesnt mean your making power

Dyno #'s are relative to the Dyno your on! And yes different dyno's give different results. Some dynos are dramatically different from others.
