My engine is stock minus your usuall minor mods, TB, Plenum, Pulleys, CA, I am seriously considering some cams and want to get some input on if it was worth spending the 500-600 bucks on maybe 10-15 hp. The cams I'm thinkng about are AFM's N-32 but they are telling me the 32's are a little to radical, I've got the set up they require ie.. Long tubes, 4.10's, comp. chip, they want me to go with the 22's. If you guys have any input that would help me I would appreciate it, thx Carl.

If the cams are only 5-600 dollars, they are regrinds, so you'll have to deal with lifter pre-load, degreeing all the cams, etc. If you don't already have the motor pulled and disassembled for any other reason, for just cam replacements, thats alot of work and alot of $$$. I think the $$$ could be better spent elsewhere.

Nothing we do is a re-grind.
Upgrade the valve springs and go for the N-32's.

Thx Brian, so I wont have to do any bottom work with these cams, just a spring change. And how much do you think that will cost? I can do the cams myself but springs no because i dont have the tools for that. And what is the story on this new intake manifold you guys are coming out with? Thx bro, you guys at AFM are awesome. I knew you guys dont do regrinds either, ya'll are more reputable than that. Carl

Nothing we do is a re-grind.
I'm only aware of regrinds and billet cores, which usually run $1,200.00 +
Do you guys have/do something different? I'm open to another option.

Dude, I dont know were your getting your prices from but the only way cams are gonna cost that much is if your buying them for a 4V. Comp Cams are about the same price as AFM's but I prefer the cams from AFM because of their reputation in putting out good products.

Oopps,....my bad. Yea, I've gotta 4V. Forgot everyone doesn't need 4. That would explain the reduced cost. ;)
