Just a few "what if" questions i need answers on. so im gonna list a few combo's and i want you experienced guys to give me an estimated et the car would go. ok here goes.
1st combo:
nmra drag radial legal 360" blower car with x-trim or f1 @ 3300 lbs. here is what i could change.
1) bfg drag radials can be swapped out for anything equal to or smaller than a 30 x 10.5 slick.
2) heads can be swapped out to victors (or ANY head but i just picked victors)
3) cubes can go from 360ci to unlimited small block cubes.
Next one: basically the same deal.
nmra drag radial legal 360" turbo car with 85mm @ 3300 lbs. here is what i could change.
1) bfg drag radials can be swapped out for anything equal to or smaller than a 30 x 10.5 slick.
2) heads can be swapped out to victors (or ANY head but i just picked victors)
3) cubes can go from 360ci to unlimited small block cubes.
4) turbo can go from 85mm to 88mm.
Lets say both nmra legal combo's go 8.30's...after the ability to make those changes, what do you think the car could run? im looking for some honest educated guesses. thanks a lot to who ever responds. this is very important. thank you!

I dont know about an educated guess, but i think the 85mm could go 8 teens. maybe quicker but i feel comfortable saying teens. i dont know about the 88 cause i've never ran one and tested the difference.

Here is another question that might help with the answer you are looking for.
At what point does the Blower/Turbo become the limiting factor? Meaning no matter how big your heads are or how many cubes you have at what point can your said power adder no longer push enough air to make use of your bigger components.

Craigsyou are correct. that is basically the answer im looking for. i believe the changes i stated could set the car into the 7's. am i wrong?

You hit the nail on the head! Adding cubic inches and bigger heads will most likely not cause the turbo combo to go faster, perhaps even slower. The bigger turbo will help and the slicks will help. I don't think a 360+" pushrod set-up with an 88 will be easy to put into the 7's.
Most of the concepts will be similar for the blower set-up I feel.

mikes deez at the world street finals only had a 360ci with victors and a single turbo. he ran some 7.90s

- Briani would see the advantage of the better heads being on the exhaust side. am i wrong for thinking this would be an advantage?

Jeremy went 7.80 something at Memphis I think he was running a 88/98, but I am not sure.

There is a pretty noticeable difference between the 98/88 and the true 88.
Remember on the turbo combos that the exhaust leaving the heads has to work with the backpressure often present. So, I don't believe a huge port there will help (but I'm not an engine builder and don't know everything:confused: ). Blowers is something different.

- Brianyeah...i was directing that toward the blower cars. i am unaware of if it would help the turbo car.

The better heads are going to help a blower car, more than the turbo car!
