I read in the latest Race Pages, that Mike Curcio is building an engine for a racer to run P/S with a carb-auto setup. Who might this be. Will it be competive against the EFI-stickshifts.

Carb, yes. But I think Rich put to rest the aod vs. stick debate

The auto idea is done. We were hoping for a bigger weight break. The engine will be a 310 carb, TFS heads. The chassis was done at Team Z. Looking to be out with it for Maple Grove.

Funny, you still believe that statement!

and also you and Rocky have heads and cam from the same source with a stick.
Come on Gene, you know as well as I its more than the head porter. I went faster with Rich's heads and cam than I did with Ed's stuff, and I gradually went faster and faster with small changes here and there. Gene, don't take this the wrong way, but in that same logic, an old set of your heads and cam were in a car this past year that e.t wise wasn't even close to your's. Glad to hear your gonna be in Bradenton, can't wait for it to be here;) ;)

But of course you wouldn't use an Auto, the right one cost $6000 plus and who knows when the right convertor can be found. Could easily spend $10K
Actually the car they speak of is mine. The idea of spending 10k to get it right just didnt seem right for what Im doing, and along with the weight break for the auto I figured it's just not worth it. Cool idea yes, worth the time and money, no.
