6 or 6.5 is best. you'll have to roll fenders and beat the inner wheel well in for a 28 x 10.5. dont waste your time trying a W.

I run 6.5 BS w 28/10.5's. I did just like everyone else is saying, beat the hell out of the inners and trim the outside lips to almost nothing. do a LOT of checking afterwards for clearance.

I just put a set of 275/60/15 MT drag radials on a set of 15x10 6.5BS Prostars
and they fit nice. A little inner fender beating and maybe trim the fender lip a little. I've seen one guy who even lowered his with this wheel and tire combo.

Here are a couple pics. 15 x10 inch rim with 6.5 inch B.S.
28X11.50 ET Street inner fenderwells "massaged" and outers have been rolled. I recently added some spacers as well. very little rubbing with this set up. But some is expected.

The Real Street guys run 10" rims with a 26" tire. Might ask some of those guys if they had any less trouble with the shorter tire.

Thanks everyone.
My Color is a factory blue in 1990. I beleive its med crystal blue. Code is MA. Once I read a chart in MMFF on production numbers and it claimed 484 MA 5.0 coupes built that year. I dont know if its correct or not, but I had never seen the color on a 90 before till i found this one.

I have 15x10" Bogarts on 6.5" B.S. with 26x10" ET Drags. I had to beat in the inner fender wells only. I have not touched the outer wheel lips. The slicks rub my tailpipes just a tad.

Do you have to beat the area around the spring perch much because it is pretty solid there and there isn't a whole lot of room before you start squishing up against the spring.

Ok guys i just picked up a 92 ssp notch two days ago. I`m planing on switching to 5lug. I already have front and rear hole shot rims from a differnt car and the rears are a 15x10 but only a 6.0 inch back spacing with a 28x11.5 et street. The tread width measures only 9.0 inches and the sectional width measures 12.0 Should i just sell them or try it ? Any help would be great.

try putting 1/4 in. spacers. sometimes a 6 in. will fit.i dont know what it is, but some cars are different.6.5 you have to beat the crap out of the inner side, but thats for a 28x10.5.if your not running that big of tire it may work for you. i personally think a 6 1/4 would be just right.they sell the spacers on ebay motors under parts and accessories, search ;weld.

I need to go a 1/4 inch inward not outward.

if you went 1/4 inward you would have a 5.75 b/s. you are trying to achieve a 6.5 b/s correct ? with a 1/4 inch spacer you would have 6.25 b/s and that would give you an additional 1/4 inch for tire clearance. good luck.

Sorry, i have to be a second voice here.

He is starting with a 6" backspace, and if he shims OUT the tire 1/4" like you say he needs to he'll have 5 3/4 backspace. You can shim out, but not in.
