My Weld Pro-stars weight 30# each with tires. The Rears weight 15# with out tires. How much and I really saving switching? Is it worth it? It's a street driven car.

i think bogarts are about 6 to 8 pounds without tires there are really light, bogart advertises that you will pick up a tenth in the quarter ..

I have a set of flylite 15X9 and they are right at 9.5 lbs. I used to run stock eliminator so every little bit counted since we did not make much power. I found that for every pound of rotating weight (like driveshaft, axles, wheels, tires, ect), was like taking 6 lbs out of the car. So if you go from a 15 lb wheel to a 9.5 lb wheel, that would be like taking (15-9.5)X2X6 lb out of the car or 66 lb. That would be worth around .06 in the quarter. Not a tenth but it is something.

Here is the link on our website. Just pick a wheel and scroll over the size and the aproximate weights will appear. Actual weights depend on backspace but this will get you close.http://www.racewarecentral.com/wheels.html
