89 Gt 5 spd 5.0 new MT's DR's 275-50-15's on weld's Draglites 5 1/2 BS... with 1/2" spacer's driver side tire getting cut up on driver top lip NOT ENOUF height,,,,,,, WHAT are my options........ !?????!!!!!! THe car is street /strip now...slow.....though getting ready for 11 sec's.... HELP guys............. Who's been there..... ??!! and done what....!!!! car is very orig and VERY NICE...!!!!!!

On my 1990lx i put back my stock coil springs ¦ an anti roll bar i have more room know ...10.06 135 1.39 60`.

You can try some "cargo" springs that are available from your local auto parts store. I have 380lbs of ballast strapped in the trunk and was having the same problem last year with the tires dragging on the quarters. I finally went to some adjustable height lower control arms and in conjuction with the cargo springs was able to keep the tires off the quarters.
I run 15x9 wheels with 6" b/s and a 275/60 BFG drag radial.

i am running 28x10.5 m/t slicks on 15x10 wheels or 275x60 m/t drag radial with no problem with the slicks i use a 1/2 spacer..i

Did you ever try installing airbags in the springs?, you can set your desired height and add preload to the suspension. I had 28x10 slicks on a 8inch draglight with a 5.0 inch backspace. Ran 8 psi in the right bag and 4 psi in the left, went 10.30's with a nat aspir 347 with 1.49 60' on a foot brake, never had no problems.

thanks Dentboy..... I twas thinkin that stuff...and didn't know how it would effect launch and other Dynamics .... IF U say U did low 10's NA...well that's good e nouf fer me... I don't think sh'll go that fast this time around.... Dave.. THanks for ur help.....!!!!!!
