Running out of gas top of 2nd?

Hey guys had some questions. Problem is put my new 427 in my car 716 hp brought it to the track and the car is running out of gas at the top of 2nd. I just put in a new MMR sumped tank, Holley volumax 250 pump #10 feed line and Aeromotive 2000 regulator. I followed everything like i should. Pump has a # 8 return and two #8 inlet hoses and a #10 outlet. Drove it down the road and it acted fine. Brought it to the track and under full power it ran out of gas on the top of 2nd. I let off of it for a few seconds and then came back on full power. The pump is brand new. The tank is vented. Do you guys have any suggestions? Do I have enough pump?

250lph pump? IF SO FOR THAT KIND OF HP THE PUMP IS KINDA SMALL. I HAD A 255 AND AT 12PSI IT RAN OUT OF FUEL. WENT TO THE AEROMOTIVE AND NO PROBLEM.

Guys it is a 250 gph pump. I installed a new sumped tank that i put in that day and didn't clean it out, which had alot of slag and metal shavings in it. So i think that the metal smoked the pump. I orderded a new holley 500 gph dominator pump. The tank is clean now and the new 10 pt chrome moly cage is installed. New guy at thunder racing in baton rouge installed it. It looks so cool. I should have the fuel issues solved. I will see yall in Atlanta at fun ford.

Are you going to run Fun Ford at NPR in May? BTW, I dynoed my motor at Tims this past Wednesday. Awsome group of guys. We had lots of fun.

Yes, I am going to Fun Ford @ NPR. Yea Lane told me about your motor. Great numbers you should be excited. Going to make all the southern races if everything works out. Priming the cage this weekend.
