ya,
again for firefox. great customer service and an awesome system. you want the gemfoam system, not anything else. this stuff is non corrosive and also will not blow away if you were to pull it half track. they say that most of the fires occur from fuel hitting hot headers. the haylon systems get the org fire out, but you can still get the reflash. the gemfoam will help cool the headers and mixes with the fuel to make it incombustable. firefox can give you more of the specifics, but its a great system. i will say to make sure you plan where its going to go. i did mine with my dad, who is great bending tubing and all of thats, we made zero cutting errors and only ended up with like 1.5 inches left over, so either order extra or plan it out well. best of luck

NMRA does not require a fire system. FFW does, 20 lb rec, 10 lb min, its up to you and your budget. I also got mine from Rob, good guy

I have a safecraft system also. It is a nice unit. Firefox also makes a nice unit . I know that price should not be an option, but the only reason I bought the safecraft system is because I was a dealer and did not see any differance between the kit that I bought and firefox kit. Firefox seems to be the company to deal with and I hear that their support is great. It is a good investment to have on board, I just hope I never have to find out how good it is.

Hey Ty nice write up in 5.0 man.
Firefox has a great fire system and very supportive when I was putting it in. Their contigency department stinks. After 2004 Maple Grove race I went 8.50's so I decided to buy there system for number of reasons but one of them was they were a NMRA Contigency sponser. So 2004 World Ford Finals @ BG I was a runner-up. Well you guys can figure out the rest.(Didnt get paid yet) Maybe they are on the same payment program as JW.
Sorry Chris for kinda getting off the positive trip..
See Ya all in the Peachie State.. Zoop

Hey Ty nice write up in 5.0 man.
thanx Carl!! i've been waiting for that it seems like forever, lol...came out great, mike johnson took those pics the day that i had the fire, well, before of course, lol....year and a half ago, magazine business is something else, i do not envy those guys for having to try and squeeze soooo many cars into only so many months a year, but they did an awesome job, gave me a kick in the ass to get on it as soon as she comes outta the chassis shop. :)
