I am researching parts for a friends mustang and was looking at the Truetrac, but I don't know anyone using it. The car I am working on is a 347 with nitrous and a stick. It has run the 1/4 at around 130 mph but 60 ft in the 1.90 range. I am looking for an axle, c-clip elim, and differential package to handle that kind of power and take a hit on the starting line with realistic 60 ft times, while still being streetable. How about the lockers? what are they like on the street? I don't care for the Auburn units, I had an Auburn Pro in my 12 sec stick car and it exploded, then on my second Auburn Pro diff in my now 11 sec auto it would do one wheeled burnouts coming out of the water box. So I am not very fond of the Auburn posi type units. Thanks in advance for any info you all have.

I have ran a detroit locker in my 8.8 with c-clips and it worked great . very streetable also and it hooked up at the track, just as good as my spool. I have tried the powertrax also and it was a p.o.s. It was very noisey did not work very well at all for street or strip. The detroit locker is well worth the extra money over other setups.

My friend runs the truetrac in his 331 Nitrous 1995 GT. Only runs around 11.40's, but 60's in the 1.50 range. It's a streetcar & he's happy with it.
