gear selection

I have a fox bodied hatch, 3000#s, 4.6 4v motor with a f1r procharger. I am using a powerglide with stock gear set, on drag radials I'm trying to figure out what gear to run out back? I have planned to start with a 3.55 but I dont know if thats enough? Any info is greatly appreciated. thanxxxxx

Depends on the rpm range you intend on crossing the traps at, size/height of DR's, etc.
