Hi Everyone, new to the forum, and new to the late model mustangs.I own an 04 GT,and would like to start out with some wheels and tires. The car comes with 17" Bullits, and the factory 4-wheel disc brakes.I'm sure all have been asked a thousand times before, but hard tellin' not knowin'.Will 15" Welds fit my car?? or must the brakes be changed to accomodate the smaller wheels?? The car will be driven on the street most of the time.
Thanks all for any help and advice.;)

They will fit, but you will need a small spacer up front for the skinnies to clear the calipers.....where in NY are you located?

SS96,Thanks for the flip.I see you are a ford service tech.A good person for information, especially when it comes down to dos and don'ts in regard to these computer motors.I'm located off exit 17 NYS Thruway, about 75 miles north of the Bronx. Not too awful far from the Island.Any ideas on the correct width of the spacer you speak of?? Would it be necessary to get longer wheels studs?? It wouldn't be practical to run a "Drag Only" wheel,so I've been looking at the Weld Pro-Stars.Any other comments or tips, don't be shy.Stay in touch. My e-mail is available.A trip to the Island wouldn't be out of the question. Thanks again.

I will have to double check, but I think its like a 5/16" or something like that. They have to be hub centric I believe to be legal too, but you would have to check the rule book for that one.
Dont neccesarily need new studs, but they are a good idea when considering safety. To be track legal, a 1/2" stud has to penetrate the lugnut at least a 1/2" (again, dont quote me on that, but I believe that is how the rulebook reads).
Prostars look good on that body style, a close friend and customer of mine has them on his street/strip car.
My friends and I drive past you quite often on the weekends going to E-town and Atco......next time we go, I'll drop you an email or something if you wanna meet up. If you have any questions about anything, just ask....post up or email/pm me......hope this helps a bit.

ss96,Thanks for your help.i have a rulebook on the way,and did some parts locating.Max motorsports handles the spacers, and the ARP wheel studs.I'll have the front wheels off the car this weekend, and do some measuring.
It would be great to let me know when you fellas head for the track.I'm about 30 minutes from Mahwah NJ. coming down I-87. Keep me posted.
