I have an '89 GT I am going to swap all the critical parts to an '80 Ford Fairmont. I would like to know how much of the factory harness I really need? I have all the parts disassembled from the GT, it seems like an awful lot of wires. I am only concerned with what all I need to make it run. I have the fuel tank installed, fuel lines run, driveline will be no problem to install, it's just the darn wiring, I'm not exactly sure what to keep and what to eliminate. Can somebody please help?

save yourself the trouble and go Carb, if you keep the EFI, you will need alot of it, O2 harness, fuel pump harness, which is connected to the rear tailight harness, You will need the engine harness which is connected to the ECM definetly. All the sensors, which if carfully you can leave on the engine, just remove the harness.
