When does it hurt a motor to have an X pipe or when should you not run one?I heard anything that revs past 8,000 rpm it hurts the power of the motor. How true is that? Thanx John

John,

We used to run an X pipe in 4" size. While scratching our head one day we took the thing off, fired the car and put it on the Transbrake with the chip out. We picked up almost 200 rpm over where the motor went with the X on.

Hasnt been on there since then.

Hope this helps!
