Does everyone mount their Ignition boxes inside the car? I am relocating my battery and my new Digital 6 would fit nicely in the leftover spot. If it is too harsh an environment then I will put it inside on the trans tunnel like most do. Whats your opinion?

My Digital 6 is mounted on the driver's side kick panel near the top.

Works out fine. Switches are easy to set.The harness curves around and up.

it wouldnt be too harsh.but,do you really want to have to pop your hood every time you want to adjust something?and also by having it in the car,you can reach down and turn the cylinder select switch to 9 so your car cant be driven off whenever you leave it parked.good for a street car like mine.

that doesn't look like a very safe mount job. i would at least put the rubber mounts on it. the digital 6 is a delicate piece of hardware. and mounting it solid like that can damage it prematurely. and they don't like heat very much either nor does any ignition or electronic device. heat is the enemy when it comes to high end electronics like your expensive ignition systems.
mine is mounted inside the car on the passenger side kick panel as well as my coil.

That things gotta be smokin hot with the blower right there. I had mine there for like 2 days and moved it into the cab they say the heat shortens its life.

Been there for 3 years and no problems yet (maybe I got a good one). The car is a mint 92 coupe with 30k on it, I am NOT cutting/drilling interior pieces to save an aftermarket throw away spark box. Send me some pics of yours, I want to see how nice it looks. ;)

Thanks,
Dan
