i want to do a bolt on juiced fox body...stock long block ported heads good intake manifold...auto...converter...built rear end....might wanna use a cam..
i want the best set up to run....wanna try for 10's


can ya help?

Back when I had the stock shortblock in my 91 LX hatch, I had ported E7s with stock valves, Performer RPM, 70mm TB, 75mm MAF, 24s, u/d pulleys, AOD w/ 3k stall, BBK shortys, O/R X-pipe, 3.73s and an NX Shark nozzle kit. The cam was .545/.545 w/ 1.7s 218/224 @ .050 114 lobe sep. It was a full weight car with only the front sway bar and spare removed. It still had a/c and all accessories and was power everything. I went 11.65 with it on slicks. My combo was pretty basic and simple. I think with less weight, a little more nitrous and a good 60' 10s is definately within reach.

takes a ton of spray to go 10's... or a very light car... with the stock head castings. I went 9.70's back in '94 with my "stock" headed 302. I used a plate and a fogger system. The cam was a hyd. roller with a bunch of duration and relatively small lift. (.570 range). If you want some pics of the car I can send...Good luck.

I had a dry system :D on my 3480 lb w/ me 95 Mustang, A/C, stereo, power everything. Consistent 11.20's 124mph w/o to much fuss. Stock 115K+ 95 Hyp Piston, stock Cam. Upped the NOS and was def. on the way deep into the 10's (6.9 @ 101 in the 1/8th). Split the block. :eek:

I had a dry NOS 150 Shot that I had on the car when it was my wife's cruiser. It went 13.7 NA and 12.4 w the dry shot....that was in 2002.

I found out later that I had pushed out a head gasket. Too much cylinder pressure for the Stock GT40P Heads.

I think I maxed out my flow on the dyno as I couldn't get the HP over 517....but had reached 650+TQ a couple of times. I don't think the dyno shows the REAL numbers for Nitrous pulls, I usually show more at the track.
