Are you trying to get the rearend CENTERED in the car, side to side.....or SQUARED in the car which means that one wheel is NOT forward of the other one???

Okay, as long as you have adjustable uppers and lowers this should be a pretty easy deal.

You should be able to use the adjustment on the lowers to get the rear wheels centered in the wheelwells ( or where you want them ) front to back and also get your wheelbase the same by measuring from the center of the front spindles to the center of the rear axles on each side of the car.

Then use the uppers to move the rearend side to side to get it centered in the car ( I've got mine to within about 1/16", which I think is more than close enough ). If you need to move the rear to the pass side, shorten the pass side upper and lengthen the driv side upper till you get it centered. To go the other way do the opposite and try to turn the adj. equally on each side.

Now once you have the rear centered front to back and side to side , you can adjust your pinion angle. Use the uppers to do this, BUT move them both equally and in the same direction. Make them both shorter for less angle or both longer for more pinion angle. As long as you move them both equally and both shorter/longer, the rear should stay centered side to side.

It might take a little playing around to get it all just where you want but it shouldn't be too bad. I'm also no expert on this, so maybe someone else will jump in here if I'm not explaining everything correctly, but this is pretty much how I did mine.

Good luck!

Glad I could help out with the info you guys...................

If nothing else I can say that building everything on my own cars myself has taught me ALOT, and I really believe that the #1 way to learn anything is thru experience, and experience comes from just doing it and figuring it out for yourself. I have had ALOT of very helpful advice over the years from the real car building pros, but unfortunately I've had a few too many times when I've called the so called "experts" with problems and it seems that I know more than they do about what they just sold me, which is a big part of why I started doing all this stuff myself. Besides I'm very picky about how things get done on my cars. The 25.5 SFI deal was one of my biggest deals lately, but it turned out great and saved me a ton of $$$ in the process. It just took a ton of time to do it while juggling everything else that day to day life throws at you.

I'm down to a set of custom headers, a driveshaft, and a few minor details and my new hotrod will be ready to rock n roll. Once I get everything ironed out I should be right in the game in both NMRA and FFW Drag Radial.

If all goes as planned the coming out party will be at the BIG SHOW at Rt. 66 in July.

See ya there!!!......................
