I am betting not having the ghi on probably helped lead to his demise. No clothing to slip when you got a gi(sp) on where you can slip out of an arm bar.

Don't know about shutting the Gracie's up, but Hughes definitely was impressive.

When I saw Gracie come out w/o a ghi, I told everyone in the house that it was already over. I also wasn't surprised when they said Gracie's arm was broke from that armbar. Truely amazing, especially since Gracie just seemed to zone out during the hold.:eek:

Can't wait for 61. Shamrock vs. Ortiz and Arlovski gets another chance to steamroll Sylvia (like he should've in 59 when I lost $300 :()

Thats pretty impressive if his arm was broke, In the post fight interview he was using that arm to drink water so I highly doubt that it was broken. But still a good rumor.

Hughes said in the post-fight that he heard something pop in his arm. As much as his arm was bent, I'd be shocked if it wasn't busted. Gracie wasn't going to tap though...broken arm or not.

I also liked that unless St. Pierre changes weight, he's planning on fighting him next. :eek: :D
