Please Help....
I am about to order my 9" stuff. Don't know if i should go Moser or Strange.
I am planning on going aluminum center, pro gear, with 40 spline, gun drilled etc...
Does anyone have any advice either way. Should i go nodular iron instead of aluminum?
The reason i am asking is i can get the Moser cheaper than the Strange. I also heard that the Moser Aluminum center is only good for about 1000 ft lb torque.
All my 8.8 stuff was Strange and i never had a problem.
ALL COMMENTS AND THOUGHTS APPRECIATED.
Thanks,
Mikie:rolleyes:

go with the strange stuff.....much nicer. I've run both over the years. Always had good luck with strange. They make a 3.812 bore , 40 spline, aluminum center section, comes available with a wide range of gear ratios, you should be able to pick that up around 1700.00 complete

Thanks for the reply Brian. I am leaning towards Strange.

Strange has an excellent contingency purse program going on.

If you're on a budget, Moser is very good stuff and they pay contingentcy.
I have seen 35spl Strange axles break, where moser's didn't, but with 40 spl, you won't break either axle.
If you can afford Strange, spend a little more and get the best, Mark Williams.
Matukas Motorsports racecars is a dealer for both Moser & MW's.

Thanks for the info Sam
I have the chance to get Moser stuff pretty cheap. The folks at Moser actually told me they would not recommend using their aluminum center with my HP & Torque. That's a little scary.
I can get the Strange stuff @ 10% off list. They told me their Ultra case is their strongest center section.
So, with that i am thinking of just going with the Strange Ultra case, Pro gear, 3.812 bore, 40 spline gun drilled axles, etc.....
MW stuff i awesome but just a little out of my budget.
Anybody know of a better deal than 10% off on Strange?

What are you running weight/power wise? I have two regular Strange aluminum centers(not ultra case) and been fine for 5 years, Moser axles, just 35 spline!

Based on the car's previous weight of 3160lbs
ET was 7.97
MPH was 181.8
I am guessing HP to be 1400-1500 ??? flywheel
Torque 1100 ftlbs ????
New weight - should be heavier
New HP - should be slightly higher.
New transmision - ET better be better----LOL

i run the moser stuff in my drag radial car(7.97@183 3400 lbs) broke a 33 spline with some tire shake called them up and they replaced the axles with 35 spline no questions asked--and sold me the spool for 150 bucks--they warranty their stuff to the original purchaser for 10 years---not bad for race parts

That's cool. I went ahead with the Strange goodies.
