Powerglide Gearsets ???

What is the gearset ratio of choice for the planetarys on a powerglide for a SSO procharger car?
1.80, 1.76, 1.69

Just broke my transmission and have a choice on planetarys gear sets but getting different opinions. Some say go to a 1.69 to kill the launch for the small tires and some say use the 1.80 to get the rpms up on a blower motor.

The trans in the car had a 1.89 helicut gears and I went to a 1.80 straight cut gearset.
Should not be too much difference from a 1.80 to a 1.76.

Yer right, not much of a difference but it will soften the launch a bit and absorb some of the tremendous torque your blown motor is making.
