You should live near Manayunk. Some of our situations are last minute.
Please email for further info.
Thanks!

I believe I was changing memory cards, I had forgotten to grab an extra one. Could have been sleeping, drinking, peeing, or goofing off, too. :p:

Manayunk is too far for me to take that job. I'd have to actually leave the house.

He fell victim to the inevitable 2nd gear breakage of the G-Force.
Did he break the gear or did he break the dogring???? I would think 3rd gear would break, because of it being smaller diameter compared to the 3rd gear.

I believe he actually broke both on that pass. 2nd went then 3rd went. But yes it is 2nd that is the weak point, I have broke 3 this year and I know of countless others that have as well.

Whats the deal with all the 2nd gear breakage ? I dont by the big split being the problem but then again i am not an engineer . The tremec has a big split , do they have any known problems ? I hope i didnt just wast my money on the new gearset that i ordered before i found out about the problem and being discontinued soon .

I sorta agree, also, its weird how it broke 2nd and 3rd on the same pass. Not doubting you Teddy. You guys are finding the weak links now. I surely thought the G-forces would hold up in these cars.

I wish we knew what the cause was.
We ran the very first heli-cut t-5 in Brian Meyer's Real Street car two years ago (or was it 3?), running 10.0's-9.8's with no breakage. I think we put somewhere between 150 and 170 passes on that thing and when it was taken apart to be checked, it looked like new. Brian's car, I believe, was heavier and I know it made a lot more torque than the P/S car will ever think of making. That trans was fantastic!

Thats what I've been told. The early ones were awesome, I've been told that it could be a problem in the heat treating or the making of the gears since the 1st batch of gear sets were made!?

I have been running the 2.92 g/force for about 3 years , since they first came out and have even drove it on the street for a while and it has never gave me any problems . I hate to put in a new 3.22 and start breaking.

Should of had your 2.92 converted to a 3.22 that way you still have the original 2nd gear. Thats what I did in Justins box.

What material are these gears made of?
Also if you know what condition they are suppose to be I could verify this for anyone interested. I can also inspect them for cracks if they are cooling the gears too quickly.

I have the first gen. G-force myself, the only problem I have had was breaking the 3rd gear dog ring twice, but other than that its been perfect and i drive mine on the street

I think I jinxed myself.. I broke the same 3rd gear dogring for the 2nd time in 3 months. I know it has maybe 10-15 passes if that much since i replaced it. Maybe this tranny isnt as strong as I thought, or the clutch i have is to dayum aggressive, is that the problems with the P/S'ers??:(

No!no! Not new problem surfacing with them G-Force parts! No! This is going to make me reconsider about going that route. Wait what am I concerned about we don't have a friggen track!! Oh! Nevermind!
But really, there are problems with the G-Force T-5 parts now?

I have a Liberty TKO stuffed with their race gear set they call the Ultimate TKO. I have never put it in the car since I got it back from Liberty and it is claimed to be the strongest Tremec transmission you can buy that is also legal in the NMRA classes. It has all hardened gears, 5th removed, with considerable lightening done to reduce the rotational mass.
I am switching to a glide. This thing is $2995 new and I am asking $2500.
