Not to drag things off topic, but what about Accel DFI Gen VII?

It is perhaps not as shiny and new as the other two, but is a very reliable, capable unit. Accel has recently rolled out some nice peripheral hardware for WBO2 and datalogging (which has historically been my biggest gripe when making the DFI vs FAST decision)...

If you can post up a bit more about your intended application, that may influence the decision as to which system is best for your application.

midwest Turbo & Performance Is the DFI a coil driver, capable of running say LS1 LS2 or the new Ford multiple coil over plug (DIS) configs.?

[I] dont know where you got a price on bs3 or xfi.But the bs3 is alot cheaper to buy than fast xfi. I bought mine new from Lee Howey@ Howey automotive for 1800.00 That was for everything. The cheapest price i could find for a xfi was 2400+ extras.

Well I am a Bigstuff guy that is getting ready to buy a RacePak for some additional data logging capabilities that I hear comes with a Motec.. If you have the cheese look at all your options. :)

Personally, I prefer the BS3 solely based off price... With that being said, they're both great in their own right. I encourage you to do your research so you can see what best fits your needs. Precision Turbo sells both systems contact either Pete Barton or Alex Demkovich @ (219) 996-7832. You can also try J Spetter Jr. @ Turbo People, (914) 478-1727. Hope this helps...

I have to speak up for the GEN VII. This is my second one (two set-ups) and I love it. I think it has more than enough options for any racer and general knowledge DFI guy. Ya if your at a pro level and need every fraction of HP, go with the newest thing with the newest option. But I can tune my car on my own to run pump, to run race gas on 12 psi or 30 psi, and all you have to do is tell the program you specs and it creates a base V/E, Spark and A/F table that will fire ANY combo! I love it, maybe biaest since I have never had the others, but I am not a racer, weekend warrior who street drives to, and GEN VII makes me feel like I know what I am doing. If you know what is safe and what is not, its that easy, garbage in grabage out.

I can also commend their tech support! They always call back, will talk tunning, and if you have to send something in for upgrades, repair or service its comes back perfect, and works as expected. I have had over 50 calls returened within 72 hours at the longest.

GEN VII all the way in my twin 76 stang!!:D
