aeromotive fuel pump question.

i have a a1000 pump and when i cycle my key to prime the pump i need to cycle the key like 3 times to make pressure. anyone else have this problem? this is a new pump my old one use to do the same thing. but this new one was working fine for the first 3 days. cycle the key once and it would go right up to 40psi. thanks

is your pump level with the sump? i kinda had the same problem when my pump was about 5 inches above the sump so i moved it down almost level with it and it worked much better, hope that helps u out.

One thing to check, make sure you have the proper filters installed before and after the pump, if you install them the wrong way they will cause the pump to have to work harder and eventually burn it up, been there and done that...my .002 cents
