What happened to Shawn's car that he only went a 9x? Also, was he not able to show for 2nd round?

WOW! 35 hundredths from first to worst... Did anyone take the 5.0 rules to the limit yet? What is the breakdown for the Modulars (2V,4V). Is Steve running the 2V or 4V?

Steve is running a 2V and so is Eric Holiday. The 5.0 and 2V guys are still dialing them in and learning what works with the new rules. I predict a 2V will be #1 qualifier by Bowling Green. This is by far the tightest and quickest field ever. Congrats to everyone involved. Looks like there will be some exciting racing.

Shawn had some contamination in his fuel system that blocked a few injectors and ran real lean hurting the engine. He's got at least one cylinder thats down quite a bit on compression but it seems to be fixing itself. Probably some aluminum from the tops of the pistons deposited on the exhaust valves keeping them from seating. Hopefully it continues to get better.:)

I have to admit, and I will, kudos NMRA, we can criticize when we disagree with you and think you guys are totally warped, but big enough to give credit when credit is due. Its still not 100% (and never can be) perfect, but you are getting closer to "parity" in F/S... I think a weight reduction to the 5.0s is needed but along with a new gear rule for the 4v's. Lets face it, its hell of a lot easier and much more fun to let us go faster then to try and slow us down. I know certain people dont want to install a rollbar in their street cars, but lets face it, all cars and people benefit from any extra safety you can add to any car. Tubular K members for 2v and 5.0s with 50# 2v weight break and 100# for 5.0s and a max 4;56 gear for the 4v... Can anyone say "11.20s here we come" ... Oh yea, and also a a 50 shot NOS for any ex civil service vehicles...lol
