Whats up everyone. I'm new to the site but i've been following FS for the last few years. I ran in Factory Stock a few years back and had alot of fun doing it...even with a slow car at the time. Robin Lawerence beat me by over 2 seconds in the 2nd round of the finals with his red notchback lol.

I've been running the idea through my head to maybe try and make a somewhat competitive FS car. There is no way in hell i'll hang with the all 11 second field but i'd like to be in the 12.0-12.2 range with an AOD. I sold my blower and alot of motor parts from my last combo so now would be a good time to start building.

From reading the rules I know I have to make some changes to whats done on the car...I have a few questions though...

1- Are any of the FS cars AOD's?
2- Does the new cam rule for the pushrods have a limit on duration or lobe seperation?
3- I'm running turndowns now...I have to put tailpipes back on my car? Is a Mac Prochamber legal?
4- Where is a good place who sells gt40 iron heads that are done up to FS specs?

First off welcome! Also you may want to post over on stangcrazy.com, a lot of FStockers hang out there. I am sure you're going to get a ton of info.

Welcome to F/S Andrew.... RUN, RUN, SAVE YOURSELF BEFORE ITS TOO LATE.. lol

1- Are any of the FS cars AOD's?
There wasnt any at ATCO, I wouldnt knowi f their has been any earlier this year.
2- Does the new cam rule for the pushrods have a limit on duration or lobe seperation?
No and no
3- I'm running turndowns now...I have to put tailpipes back on my car? Is a Mac Prochamber legal?
Yes, you must have tailpipes. Dont know if pro-chambers are legal, but lets just say "I hope they are" (hint hint)
4- Where is a good place who sells gt40 iron heads that are done up to FS specs?
Done heads? I have no idea what you are talking about, they are stock..lol.. Here is where "you get what you pay for". The 4 I can think of off the top of my head and hoping I dont piss anyone off are FLOWTECH (Ed Curtis), KUNTZ, DON WEST and RGR (Rich Groh). I'm not sure who Justin (JPC) is using, but he always had the best heads from TALON. But before spending a small fortune, post in classified "wanted parts" their are plenty of used ones out there.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

By "done" heads I mean milled, valve job, and having the correct valve springs. I'll probably end up giving Ed Curtis a call being that i've bought a cam off him in the past.

I'll be sure to let you guys know how the build up is going. I need ALOT of parts but im on good start already with a Lentech AOD, Anderson PMS, built 8.8, built suspension, and so on. I'll probably only run at the Maple Grove and Atco events next year because they are my home tracks.

Hopefully, I'll run into you guys at Maple Grove. Racing...not watching this time.
