I also posted this in the internal engine but figured I might get some good replies here...

Just wanted to get some real world expierence with Nitrous set-ups. 200-300 shot fogger, 4340 cranks, 4340 H-beams, JE/SRP pistons 4.030 351W base set-up, 12.3:1 static compression, car will see 7500rpm.

I was told a tool steel ring is best for use with N2O but they are hard to get seated so dura moly ring is the way to go, full chrome moly is not a good idea. I was alos told to make the gap larger on the second ring to help get the heat away from the crown of the piston. What gap do you reccomend limited street duty car. What about bearing clearances on a N2O motor and tips, or is the .001" per inch of journal still good. I plan to run 116 on the juice with a plug 2-3 ranges colder.

Thanks

Do not know but this my help you :

351W Sportsman 9.200" Block - Stroked to 408cid
4.000" Crankshaft. - Forged Lunati 1000 + HP.
6.125" Con Rods. - Forged Lunati 1000+ HP.
1.078" C.H. Pistons - Forged Lunati 1000 + HP.

Piston Rings File Fit (Chome Moly) Gap as per Lunati spec's/NOS use - in there tech articles - Read them they are good and can answer your question.

Also the most important thing to me was the top Land of the piston I purchased, the thickness of this is what makes the differance in using N2O or Not, The thicker the better.

10.4 - 10.5 C.R.
EFI Super Victor 9.200" intake for now w/ 1000cfm thottle body on top and N2O Bosses - Coming soon a EFI Parker Spyder Intake $750.00+ S&H for the intake w/ N2O Bosses
Runs on 93 octane on the street
Have a fuel cell in the trunk 5 gals for the 110 + Octane/ NOS Feed.

O-Ringed the Block only and installed Felpro Loc Wire, I have used Stainless steel O-Ring too w/ SCE Cooper Head Gaskets, had no problems yet knock on wood - Found prep the key here.

Used Federal Mogal Tri Metal Bearings - You will need to call Federal Mogal for there info.

NOS Sportsman Fogger system 175 - 300

Used FAST Computer - Bank to Bank

and more.
