96GTS

Little background of my car b/c I'm new here:D 96 GT w/ a stock Cobra motor in it. Ready for the next level. I have Wolfe rear susp and D&D up front, and am currently putting in a Wolfe 10pt cage and mini tubs. Will shorten my rear end to run 325 M/T DRs. Car will be under 3000 lbs w/ me in it.

If I were to go turbo, can you guys help me out? Building a 5.4L Navi motor, .020 over (333ci), cleaned up heads (valve job, valves, new valvetrain, but no porting), and custom cams for whatever power adder I choose. Also a water to air IC in the "backseat". Figure if Tim Palmer ran high 8s with a T88 and a 4.6 w/ stock heads/cams, I should hopefully see 9s on DRs w/ the 5.4L. That isn't asking too much is it?

What compression ratio is best for a turbo? What turbo? How big should the turbo to IC piping be? And how big from the IC to the TB? Any other relevant info would be MUCH appreciated!! Thanks!

Just wondering...

Since you live out here in this "no man's land" of Mustang racing, with the exception of Sal's Mustang Drag Days, which are excellent quasi-regular events, are you setting this turbo beast up for PSCA competition? Or, are you bankrolled enough to take it back East and get with some of the NMRA 'Stang events? Sounds like it's gonna be a cool car. We need more of them out here.

How'd everything go with the dash clipping? LOL
