i'm no expert by any means i just want some opinions on my combo. this is what i have, a dart iron eagle block 331 ci. eagle 3.25 crank internal balance, eagle 5.4 h-beams with arp 2000 rod bolts, ross custom piston -15cc dish, afr's 205's with comp cams 929-16 springs with ti retainers 58cc with this the compression ratio is 9.2:1. now the power adder which is a vortech ysi trim drivers side mount. i plan on running 28lbs of boost ,will be tuning with a pms with 83lbs injectors and a 3.5 inch univ blowthru meter. my exhaust will be kooks 2inch headers with 3.5 collectors to 3.5 bullets muffler. now the tranny i will be running will be a powerglide with a 1.76 1st. gear with a 5000 stall converter i will shift at 7000 rpm, i also have a custom grind cam with intake lift over 570 and exhaust duration over 250. the intake i have is a edlebrock performer rpm with a 75mm throttle body the intake will need to be ported. this just about wraps it up i also have 3.73 gears in the rear with a 28 inch et street tire all opinions are welcomed, is this combo good enough to run in the 8's?
thanks.

Sounds like you have enough under the hood. How heavy is it and is the suspension up to snuff are the real questions.

There is a very steep learning curve with SC and 8 sec passes. Most cars when the are built run 1/2 sec or more from where they are maximized at. It takes time and lots of it. The thing is to learn before you take a picton out !

by no means that i think can take my car out & make a 8 sec pass , i know there is a curve to learn. that's why i'm going to let the master bob kurgan tune my car & let him get the most power out of it also while making sure it's safe. and once that is done then i will need to learn how to drive the car  the reason i made this post is because i talked to a few guys that don't know nothing about blower cars & they all think to seem that there is no way that my car can run in the 8's. the main thing they look at is that's a small bolck & the don't see how by adding a supercharger that the car can be this fast. i just want to prove them wrong :p

I think it can I have something similar with a little more cyl head, with an F1R no cooler 28-30psi and went 5.76 in the 1/8 on my 3rd time out I'm hoping to get an 8 sec pass soon. So yes it can do it depending on the cam and also how much it weighs.
Something you may want to do is if your using adapter plates for your headers use the 12point nuts on the head studs instead of the hex so you can get a socket on them with the adapter plates still on other wize everytime you re-torque your heads when doing gaskets etc the plates will have to come off when using the hex. Small thing but makes things easier.

R347ci in a 91 LX drag car running 20lbs from YSI and Mondo cooler, .700 lift solid roller, Protopline 215cc stage 3 heads and 1 3/4" LT's hit 820/640 on a stock computer with custom tune and 73lb inj. went a 8.90 and 155mph.
The he swapped out the heads for AFR 225's, RCI 1 7/8 LT's, and put down another 820/660 but now the 800rwhp was from 5000 to 7500. He's needs more fuel. going to 150's and another 3 lbs will probably hit 950 on a stock computer with a sutom tune.
ur intake will hold u back from the big power. go Holley Systemax ll or TFS-R full race port. Mine flows 325cfm. and ur cam is too small. go custom solid roller from cam Motion, FTI or Jay Allen.
