What's the best sixty foot time anyone has ever heard of or seen with a T-5? I went to the track friday night and laid down a 1.320 all motor, supposedly on the back tires. Has anyone ever heard of this before with a T-5?........James:eek: :D

What's even more impressive is that was just on the motor. I used to drive the car to the track until we were rained out and I got soaked putting the street tires back on the car for the drive home. I swore that would never happen again; so, I bought a trailer. The car consistently sixty foots in the 1.35-1.38 range but I'm dialing in the 1.32-1.34 range. the tune on the motor is almost where it needs to be. I went to the track a couple of weekends ago and laid down a 1.328 sixty foot.:) I have a powerglide ready to drop in, but I want to wait until I can get someone to video tape my car. Once the glide is in, the car should really wake up as I will also be installing my NOS Bigshot! Has anyone ever witnessed a faster sixty foot in a t-5? My best so far is 1.320. Looking for a 1.31 next time out if the tranny does'nt give up the ghost!....James:D

6.70's in the eighth @102-103mph. Looking for 105 next time out. I'm sure if I did'nt have so much trouble shifting gears it would lay down some 50's. I know it will run some 60's. Last time out at the track it ran a 6.77 @ 102 and I attempted to shift into fourth gear about 80-100 feet before the lights and wound up basically just coasting through the lights. By the time I had my foot back into the gas it was crossing the finish line. I should have just kept it in third and spun it to the rev limiter.......James;)

That's excellent! I'm probably losing an easy two tenths, maybe three, just from granny shifting this t-5. I have a PA super comp 'glide ready to drop in which I know I'll probably drop two tenths in the first sixty feet. But, I'm sure it will still pick up in overall ET due to only changing gears once and a much quicker shift....James :)

I built a windsor, stroked to 408. Compression is 13.4:1 with my 54 cc combustion chambers on the Canfield heads. BRC flat tops with the top ring placed further down for heavy doses of nitrous. Victor jr. port matched, AED 850cfm that flows 930cfm. MSD billet distributor and MSD Digital 6 ignition. The cam is very mild, 244 degrees duration @ .050 on the intake and 256 on the exhaust with a 112 LSA for nitrous, the lift is .595 in and ex with 1.6 Crane Gold Roller Rockers. It was built to cruise the streets and makes enough vacuum to operate the power brakes. The suspension is Southside machine lift bars on the lowers and stock uppers. Eibach drag suspesion kit , 70/30 lakewoods up front and 50/50's in the rear. Right rear air bag set to 19 psi. I tore up an Auburn Pro after just four passes and went to a spool. 28 x 10.5 stickey mickey's and 4.10 gears. It's not geared for the eighth. It virtually puts it on the back bumper and that is the only scary thing about it. Accelerating to 100 in six seconds does'nt scare me, but not knowing if it is going to flip over does. I just ride it out. Alot of people at my track say I'm crazy! Once I put the 'Glide in her and hook up my NOS Bigshot, things will really start to get interesting. The only proof I have are time slips, but I'm looking to get someone to video tape my next outing. Any one want to come to Emerald Coast Dragway in Holt, Fl. and video tape me?...James :D

Ultraflow, What is the first gear ratio of your Jerico? I have a 3.35 first gear and 4.10's in the rear. This is why I sixty foot so well. Also my car weighs 2850 with me in it. My tranny has probably lasted this long because the Centerforce dual friction setup is slipping.....James

I can believe it... @ 2850 w/ a 408... (sounds like the clutch and tranny are ticking time bombs)

I have a 3.08 1st gear w/ a 4.30 rear, 28x10 Goodyears... @ just over 3100lbs. w/ me... 306 w/ a 200shot

When you put nitrous to that monster, if your tranny holds, you're going to need wheelie bars! ...sounds fun!

I pull the wheels, but don't carry them out past the 60ft. ...I'm nowhere near maxing out my suspension, it launches nice and flat... and doesn't float around.

I want to see some timeslips once you put the spray to it :D

My suspension setup is in the above post. What is your rpm at launch? I launch at 5000 RPM. I don't use the two step capablilties of my MSD Digital 6 yet, If someone stages before I do, I don't have a chance to look at my RPM before the tree starts coming down. That's how I sixty footed 1.320; my RPM was somewhere between 5500 and 6500. Boy was that guy shocked in the Right lane when all he could see was my Roof!.....James

I launch around 6k rpms... I start to put my foot to the floor on the second amber and then drop the hammer on it! It's a fairly consisten procedure I use... not a big fan of the two step, although it seems to work pretty good for alot of guys.

Also, the car has a TRZ rear suspension setup.... and the rest of the suspension combo can be found here (http://www.mustangworks.com/cgi-bin/moi-display.cgi?2260)...
