I'm wanting to get the most out of my car N/A. I have a 2003 mach 1 with the usual bolt-ons and 4.56 gears. I'll be adding Kooks headers this spring and was wondering if there was any advantage to running collector mufflers or should I just stay with the traditional xpipe. Street legality is not a concern. Burns stainless has some quality products and I was curious if anyone has used their megaphone header extensions? I realize I have a street car but I'm looking for any additional advantage.

Thanks for everyone's input. It's always nice to seek info when you are a beginner and get no help. Unless you have a sponsor's name on your car then you're a nobody. I've only been to one NMRA event and it very well may be my last.

Dude settle down. Not much action in the modular forum on this site. I don't know of anyone who has tried collecter mufflers on a 4V. Maybe the VT guys. They are not legal in most heads up classes. If it were me and I wanted every last ounce of performance without concern of class rules, I'd give them a try. If nothing else the exhaust will weigh alot less.:D. My stock 2V was faster with open headers. Coulda been due to the weight removal though. I never dynoed it that way.
