I am converting from a supercharged fuel injected motor to a carb'd nitrous motor. I am building a 427, AFR 225 heads, super victor intake, holley 830, 10:1, not sure what cam is goin gto be used. I'm not sure what kit is the best, which is better a plate or a fogger. I want to start out with a 200-250hp shot. This is in a 88 Mustang, it has a Aeromotive fuel system in it. I know I have to change the regulator, but not sure what one to go with, it has A1000 pump. Any ideas or suggestions would be a great help
Thanks
Jim

If I were you I would go with a direct port type system. Fords are known for poor distrbution. With the direct port system you can control this. Please take a look at our Edelbrock systems at www.edelbrock.com and please feel free to yell if you have any other questions. If you need the system installed and or flowed, I can help you there too.. Thanks, Steve

Nuke,
I honestly do really have an opinion of the Zex plate. I haven't ran across anyone using one in the racing I'm involed in. They rate it (the Zex plate) from 100-300 HP, the NOS Cheater is up to 250 HP.

I'm not sure what type of power gains your looking for but you might want to look at our Victor Jr. plate system. It is advertised at 200-400 HP, but you can de-tune it, as well as step it up over 400 !! It is also the most tuneable plate out there. It has four nitrous and four fuel jets, as well as a cross bar style that really helps with distribution. Hope this helps, Steve

I would suggest a aeromotive A2000, thats what I have on my carb'd engine, it feeds the engine and also my fogger. I also run Edelbrocks Super Victor kit with the E2 nozzles. I have had very good luck with their kit. I have only sprayed 200 so far but everything has worked out perfectly for me. I dyno'd the car and it made an extra 260 rwhp on a 200 shot.

hope this helps

the Speedtech Diffuser plate is the only way to go in a plate system.

King, Thanks for your reply and info. Your findings somewhat don't surprise me. Our horsepower ratings a very conservitive as well as real numbers. We do extensive dyno and track testing of all our kits. I would feel comfortable putting our Victor Jr. plate against anything our there too. It makes great power and has surprised many. Thanks, Steve

steve Johnson: can you PM me a price for a nitrous kit. I'm kinda shopping around for a nitrous kit for mid season.

Also, what dos anyone think of a NX twin gemini plate?

Thanks,
Jason

Steve Johnson I have a question about the Performer RPM plate kit. I run this on my 408 with great results. It has jets for up to 250. I currently run 200. Is the plate capable of more? The class I will be racing only allows one NOS and one fuel solenoid.
